How the Quoit Factory was started:
The Quoit Factory beginnings were started in late 2003 by 24-year-old Nicholas Kennedy. Mr. Kennedy grew up playing Quoits in Easton, PA then left to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps in 1999. Kennedy served in the Marines and held job responsibilities that involved operations, planning, intelligence and training at Marine Corps commands in Okinawa, Japan and San Diego, CA.

When Mr. Kennedy was in San Diego he figured everyone knew what quoits were but quickly found out that nobody had ever seen it or played it before in California. He saw an opportunity and a challenge and decided he would start a business manufacturing Quoits and introduce it nationally since it was only sold in Pennsylvania and New Jersey back in 2003.

Mr. Kennedy took his experiences and knowledge from the Marine Corps and started a business from scratch. He learned how to manufacturer quoit boards with consistent quality and efficient manufacturing methods which lowered prices that were typically $300 a complete set down to $210. He also invented the composite quoit board that is 60% cheaper to ship versus the heavy slate quoit boards, which allowed this game to be introduced easier to new markets. Mr. Kennedy also invented multi-color quoits to offer customers something different than just plain black quoits.

Since these developments, the Quoit Factory has grown into the leading manufacturer of Quoits. The Quoit Factory's products have been featured in newspapers, magazines and cable television shows which has helped fuel interest in this unique American Game.
